My Dear Class,
As I prepare to leave you all for a year, this song keeps going through my head.
I can say with confidence that this has been one of the greatest teaching years of my life. It wasn’t the work that we did that made it special. It wasn’t the trips we went on or the assemblies or even the jokes we shared…
It was you.
If I can leave you with one last little piece of advice it would be this. Really make time for the people that you share your lives with. When you’re with your classmates, be with them. Listen to them, talk with them, make time for them. Likewise with your families, your friends, and any new people that enter into your lives.
Each moment passes. It’s up to us to make the most of every one of them.
God bless you all. Have a wonderful, wonderful summer.
